drip is a new shop on the come up in roma, and was on my radar for a while. it’s a cool loft-style shop with some fantastic coffees, like this one from veracruz.

i was excited to take this coffee home because it gave me a chance to really explore it in different methods. also, let’s take a second to just appreciate the bag and the sticker of their dog, fun right? open this bag and you get a beautiful caramel, maple syrup, and chocolate scent. firstly, you’d think of making this up as espresso, splash some milk, a comforting coffee. but that’s the best part of having the bag, this was my chance to explore and go on an adventure, so i made it on my kalita wave. i was surprised with the results. i got a nice, clean coffee with notes of raspberries, honey, and a slight bitter dark chocolate end. it was a good choice. honestly, it’s always a good choice as long as you enjoy your cup. of course, i will make it up as an espresso next time, to go on another adventure, and also see if the notes differ at all.

as i said, drip is still on the downlow, but for now. they’re working really hard to put out some good coffee and it shows with this one as one example. it’s worth checking them out, at least a cup. i’ve attached their instagram below, be sure to check em out and give them a follow.
