let’s go back about ten years…
one summer, me and a group of friends would meet up every wednesday after work to play beach volleyball at spanish banks. after that, we’d go for a beer and half price wings. i don’t even remember what the place was called, but man, those wings were good.
fast forward to about a year ago, I noticed this new coffee shop on instagram. it looked really cool but the only thing is, I was now living in mexico city. I knew that the next time I went back to visit I wanted to check this place out. I was doing a little coffee hop in kits area and decided to check out their there. I walk up, and man, this places looked really familiar. yup, it was that place we’d go to before for beer and wings, except it’s much, much nicer, and brighter than before. And instead of serving yum wings, they sell yum coffee, paired with some ridiculously beautiful pastries (try to go through their instagram and not drool, i dare you). oh, and that’s by day, by night they serve mouth watering burgers. andddddd they even had an old school nba jam arcade game to play. I’m telling you, this place was dope.
that was the first time I went. since then and the next time i went back, i had been messaging back and forth and managed to meet up with Tristan, who was super nice, and has worked at their there for a while. we talked about their new in-house coffee, fusee papillon (rocket butterfly), and we even did a little trade because I brought a couple bags of coffee from roasters from mexico city for their crew to try, and he sent me back with a couple bags to share. good times.
their there is a suuuuuper cool place to hang out during the day or for a bite at night. their coffee selection is really good andddd they also sell do resale of heart, luna, detour, and monogram. their pastries are just ridic. sometimes I want to unfollow because every time they post something I get hungry. anyways, what I’m trying to say is, if you haven’t been to their there, you need to go. it’s a must. if you’re visiting vancouver, put it on your list, you won’t regret it. and if you can’t visit in person, enjoy their ig page, it’s just as cool. either way, don’t miss out on their there!
