pecora’s dynamic drip is the second bag of coffee i received from them. the first bag was their espresso drip, which was delicious, so i was very much looking forward to this one.
open the bag, and i get a peanut butter, caramel, smell. amazing. since its a drip, i make it up in my kalita wave.
on first pour, it’s a medium to dark coffee, with bold notes like blueberries and dates. as it cools down, the fruitier notes start to take over, and lighten, and tastes more like raspberry and mango.
as the bag says, this is a complex, fruity, and versatile bean, and i like that because every sip can be different and you don’t know what to expect. and since the print is in spanish, i don’t understand exactly what it says, but that’s alright because i get to guess my own taste notes, which is good practice for me 😛
pecora is a producer and roaster from veracruz. that region is known to have amazing, diverse, coffee.
i’m not exactly sure how many coffee shops here in mexico, or anywhere for that matter, serve pecora, but you can buy their coffee on their website.
also, i’m sure you can just message them directly on instagram and ask for information. thats how i stay in touch with carlos, my main man. i’ve attached both links below.
it’s not often you have the opportunity to get coffee directly from a farmer or producer, so this is a very unique situation. i’d highly suggest trying this, and seeing what mexican beans have to offer!
