paradigma café is a hole in the wall gem in roma. not only do they serve delicious coffee, handmade baked goods by one of their baristas, but brothers arturo and marioni are very passionate about what they do. when I met up with them, although english isn’t their first language, they showed a real interest in me, my past, and my plans for this blog. they made me feel like family. and then, they handed me a menu, and their selections were exciting.
because I was there a little later in the afternoon, I decided to go with an iced red velvet latte (yeah, you heard right). it was perfectly delicious and satisfying. while I was enjoying that, their barista was listing off all the baked goods she makes at home and sells at the coffee shop. cookies, brownies, carrot cake, and her new recipe, a lemon cookie sprinkled with pistachio 🤤

unfortunately I wasn’t able to stay too long, and didn’t get to try a specialty coffee from arturo, but we promised that we’d meet again (earlier in the day), to try their locally sourced coffee from nearby oaxaca. can’t wait! stay tuned.. ps i saw this beaut right outside…
